Eagles Face Admirals for First Time Since 2020

Eagles Face Admirals for First Time Since 2020.

Jan 14, 2022

The Colorado Eagles are home to take on the Milwaukee Admirals for the first time since March of 2020. The two teams were unable to play last year, as Milwaukee opted not to play the 2020-21 season.

Colorado and Milwaukee faced off four times during the 2019-20 season before it was cut short. The Eagles won three of those four games; one in regulation, one in overtime, and one in a shoot-out.

By the Numbers

The Colorado Eagles have a 13-11-3-2 record for the season, sitting at 5th place in the Pacific Division after passing Tucson with last week's series sweep. This put the Eagles on a three-game winning streak, a feat they have accomplished twice this season.

Colorado holds a 1-1-1-1 record against Milwaukee, who are currently sitting in sixth place in the seven-team Central Division. The Admirals have a 13-18-2-0 record this season but at 3-6-1-0 in their last 10 games.

Colorado - Milwaukee Connections

Kiefer Sherwood’s brother Kole Sherwood plays for Milwaukee. This would have been the first time the two brothers have played against each other professionally, but Kole is out of the Milwaukee lineup.

Goaltender Parker Gahagen spent last season with the Colorado Eagles before signing with the Milwaukee Admirals. He is currently playing with their ECHL affiliate the Florida Everblades.
