The American Hockey League and its board of governors made the very difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the 2019-20 regular season and Calder Cup playoffs. While it is extremely disappointing to see this incredible season come to its conclusion, the Colorado Eagles fully support this measure to protect the health of the team, its staff and its incredible fans.
On a crisp fall day in October of 2002 a large egg hatched and Slapshot was born. For the last 17 years Slapshot has lived in a large nest on the top of the Budweiser Events Center overlooking the beautiful Rocky Mountains. When he is not catching fish for his next meal he is entertaining sold-out crowds of all ages or out in the community. The loveable mascot participates in numerous community events each year ranging from birthday parties to corporate events and charity fundraisers. Known for his fun loving personality and energy Slapshot is one of hockey's favorite mascots. As long as there are Eagles fans, Slapshot will be found roaming the arena shaking his tail feathers.
