Eagles Look For Series Sweep Against Stars

The Colorado Eagles will look for their second win of the new season tonight in Texas against the Stars at the H-E-B Center at 6:00 pm MST. 


Last night, Colorado forwards Martin Kaut and Charles Hudon each posted two goals and an assist, while fellow forward Mikhail Maltsev added three assists, as the Eagles knocked off the Texas Stars, 6-3 in the regular season opener on Friday. Goaltender Justus Annunen earned the win in net, stopping 21 of the 24 shots he faced, while forward Jean-Luc Foudy finished the night with a goal and an assist

The Colorado Eagles recently reassigned 6 players to the Utah Grizzlies including: Cameron Wright (F), Tarun Fizer (F), Zach Tsekos (F), Nate Clurman (D) and Ben Tardif (F).

By the Numbers

The Eagles are currently sitting at a 1-0-0-0 record this season. Colorado finished off the 21-22 season with a 39-22-4-3 record. In the 2022 Calder cup playoffs, the Eagles had a record of 6-3-0-0 making it to the Pacific Division finals where they would end their run with a loss to Stockton Heat in game four of round three. 
The stars currently have a 0-1-0-0 record. Texas finished off their 21-22 regular season with a 32-28-6-6 record. The Stars ended their season in round one of the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs when they were swept by the Rockford Ice Hogs ending with a 0-2-0-0 playoff record.

Colorado Eagles forward Ryan Wagner was previously on the Chicago Wolves for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. Current Stars captain Curtis McKenzie played on the Chicago Wolves for the 2018-19 season as the Alternate Captain.
