Back to Milwaukee: Eagles Face Admirals for '80s Night

The Colorado Eagles will face off against the Milwaukee Admirals for the second night in a row on Saturday. 

Colorado came back from a 4-1 deficit to beat Milwaukee in a shootout on Friday night. Multiple Eagles registered multi-point performances in the win. Forwards Callahan Burke and Dylan Sikura each had a goal and an assist, forward Kiefer Sherwood had a power-play goal and an assist. Defenseman Jordan Gross had three assists and a goal in the shootout, along with Jayson Megna scoring the game-winning goal in the shootout.

Milwaukee came out strong early on in both the first and second periods, scoring at 1:10 and 1:07 respectively. The Eagles will look to keep their late momentum going into tonight and secure another win.

Roster Report

Dennis Gilbert made his return to the roster during the trip to Tucson after missing 13 games with an injury.

Forwards Cal Burke and Mikhail Maltsev along with goaltenders Trent Miner and Hunter Miska were recently reassigned to the Colorado Eagles from the Avalanche taxi squad. 

Defenseman Andrew Nielsen has been recalled to the Colorado Eagles from the Utah Grizzlies.

Colorado - Milwaukee Connections

Kiefer Sherwood’s brother Kole Sherwood plays for Milwaukee. This would have been the first time the two brothers have played against each other professionally, but Kole is out of the Milkwauee lineup.

Goaltender Parker Gahagen spent last season with the Colorado Eagles before signing with the Milwaukee Admirals. He is currently playing with their ECHL affiliate the Florida Everblades.
