Colorado Looks to Continue Energy Against Gulls

Mar 5, 2022

The Colorado Eagles face the San Diego Gulls for the final time this regular season, tonight at 7:05 pm.

The match between the two teams on Friday was action-packed. The Gulls struck first on an early power play, notching a goal from Danny O’Regan. The Eagles would step on the gas early, notching three goals of their own to finish the first period. Dylan Sikura scored an even-strength goal, followed by a power-play goal from Kiefer Sherwood and a late short-handed goal from Ryan Wagner.

Five goals would be scored in the second period. Three for the Eagles and two for the Gulls. Justin Barron buried one early in the period, followed by one from Andreas Wingerli and a power-play tally from Jacob MacDonald. The Gulls added two short-handed goals from Buddy Robinson and Bryce Kindopp after Brayden Tracey took a five-minute major penalty for boarding.

Jacob Perreault added one more for the Gulls in the third period, but Sikura would get his second of the game to seal the deal for the Eagles. Colorado won 7-4.
