Colorado Tripped up by Wranglers, 2-1
Nov 6, 2026
LOVELAND, CO. – Colorado forward Adam Beckman netted his team-leading sixth goal of the season, but it would not be enough, as the Calgary Wranglers defeated the Eagles 2-1 on Friday. Calgary goalie Owen Say collected his first win of the season, making 18 saves on 19 shots. Colorado netminder Ilya Nabokov suffered the loss in net, allowing two goals on 19 shots.
Calgary would net the game’s first goal when forward Sam Morton camped out on top of the crease and deflected a shot from the point past Nabokov, giving the Wranglers a 1-0 edge just 2:37 into the contest.
The Eagles would go on to kill off four Calgary power plays in the first period, while failing to connect on one of their own, as the Wranglers carried their 1-0 advantage into the first intermission.
A Colorado power play would set up Beckman to sweep home a one-timer from the slot, tying the game at 1-1 at the 8:16 mark of the second period. The Eagles would go on to outshoot Calgary 8-4 in the middle frame, as the two teams left for the second intermission still deadlocked at 1-1.
A Wranglers power play early in the third period would produce the go-ahead goal, as forward Rory Kerins tapped home a loose puck in the crease, putting Calgary on top 2-1 just 48 seconds into the final frame.
Colorado finished the game going 1-for-7 on the power play and 5-for-6 on the penalty kill.
The Eagles will be back in action when they take on the Calgary Wranglers on Saturday, November 7th at 6:05pm MT at Blue Arena. Tickets for all Colorado Eagles home games are on sale now and can be purchased at ColoradoEagles.com.
