Eagles Add Goaltender Isaiah Saville on AHL Deal

WINDSOR, CO. – The Colorado Eagles, proud AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, have announced that the team has signed goaltender Isaiah Saville to an AHL contract for the 2026-27 season. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound netminder spent last season with the ECHL’s Greenville Swamp Rabbits, compiling a 2.67 goals-against average and .910 save-percentage across 29 games. He also saw action in eight AHL contests, going 6-1-2 with the Ontario Reign, complimented by a 1.91 GAA, .916 save-percentage and a pair of shutouts.
A fifth-round pick of the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Saville started his pro career with the Henderson Silver Knights, and is 23-19-3 with a 2.83 GAA, .904 save-percentage and three shutouts in 48 career AHL appearances.
Saville began his junior career by earning a spot on the NAHL All-Star Team and being named the league’s Goaltender of the Year with the Minnesota Magicians in 2017-18. The following year, the Anchorage, Alaska native would jump to the USHL’s Tri-City Storm for the 2018-19 campaign. That season saw Saville earn the Dave Peterson Award as USA Hockey’s Junior Goalie of the Year after going 25-4-2 with a .925 save-percentage and leading all USHL goaltenders with a 1.90 GAA. That performance would also earn him the USHL’s Goaltender of the Year Award and landed him a spot on the USHL First All-Star Team and the USHL All-Rookie Team.
After concluding his junior career, Saville spent three seasons at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, going a combined 38-36-5 with a 2.78 goals-against average, .907 save-percentage and six shutouts. In his final season with the Mavericks, he posted new career-bests in wins (16), shutouts (4) and goals-against average (2.05), while matching his career-high .907 save-percentage.
The Eagles will kick off the 2026-27 AHL regular season when they travel to take on the Tucson Roadrunners on Saturday, October 3rd. Colorado will make its home debut on Friday, October 9th against the Abbotsford Canucks at Blue Arena.
