Eagles Close Out Season Series with Canucks

Eagles Close Out Season Series with Canucks

Mar 13, 2022

The Colorado Eagles will face the Abbotsford Canucks on the road in a Sunday matinee game at 5 pm MST.

Colorado has won two of the three games against Abbotsford so far this season, though all three have proved to be close matchups.

Last Friday’s showing between the two teams was tied at zero for two full periods. Abbotsford outshot Colorado 19-5 in the first period, but goaltender Justus Annunen made easy work of stopping all 19 shots.

The scoring wouldn’t start until the 7:49 mark of the third period when Dylan Sikura finally found the back of the net on a Colorado power play. Kiefer Sherwood would add an even-strength tally before Abbotsford got one of their own, making it 2-1. Martin Kaut put the nail in the coffin with an empty netter at 19:48, giving the Eagles the win, 3-1.
