Eagles Look for Another Win in San Diego

The Eagles are back in San Diego to take on the Gulls tonight at 8:00 pm MST. 

Colorado went 3-for-5 on the power play in their last showing against the Gulls, as the Eagles earned their eighth consecutive win with a 5-3 victory. Forward Kiefer Sherwood netted two goals and an assist, while defenseman Jordan Gross added three assists in the win. Goaltender Justus Annunen claimed his eighth straight win in net, turning aside 15 of the 18 shots he faced in the contest.

The Eagles outshot the Gulls 40-18 in the contest, as Colorado finished 3-for-5 on the power play and 3-for-5 on the penalty kill.

Forwards Mikhail Maltsev and Dylan Sikura, along with goaltender Trent Miner have been recalled to the Colorado Avalanche.

Hunter Miska has been reassigned to the Eagles from the Avalanche taxi squad.

Nick Henry and  Matthew Boucher have all been recalled from the Utah Grizzlies.

Gulls forward Brent Gates Jr. played college hockey with Sampo Ranta at the University of Minnesota during the 2018-19 season.

Gulls forward Lucas Elvenes played with Dylan Sikura on the inaugural Henderson Silver Knights team. Elvenes was recently claimed off of waivers by Anaheim and assigned to the Gulls.

Gulls forward Benoit-Olivier Groulx and Justin Barron played together on the Halifax Moosehead of the QMJHL during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.
