Eagles Seek Road Win Against Roadrunners

Jan 7, 2022

The Colorado Eagles take on the Tuscon Roadrunners in a two-game series this weekend in Tuscon. The previous matchup between the two teams saw a series split, with the Eagles winning the last game between the lineups on December 3rd.

The last time the two teams met, goaltender Pavel Francouz made his return to the AHL on a conditioning stint and recorded a shutout against Tucson. Francouz faced 27 shots on goal while four different skaters found the back of Tuscon’s net. Forwards Jean-Luc Foudy and Mikhail Maltsev both had multi-point performances, with each securing a pair of assists. Keaton Middleton and Boko Imama dropped the gloves just 1:38 into the last meeting between the Roadrunners and the Eagles. Defensemen Rob Hamilton and Roland McKeown and forwards Martin Kaut and Kiefer Sherwood all scored for the win against the Roadrunners.
