Eagles to Face Texas Stars at Home.

After losing 6-3 to the Stockton Heat, the Colorado Eagles are back at home to play the Texas Stars. This is the first time that the Eagles and Stars have faced off this season, having last seen each other on March 17th, 2021.

Colorado and Texas faced off eight times during the 2020-21 season. The Eagles won six out of those eight games. 

Tonight’s tilt will see the Eagles pushing for their second win of the season against the Stars.

Forwards Jayson Megna, Martin Kaut, and defenseman Jacob MacDonald are all currently recalled to the Avalanche. 

Goaltender Trent Miner, forward Luka Burzan, and defenseman Nate Clurman were all recently recalled to the Eagles from the Utah Grizzlies.

Colorado - Texas Connections

Eagles forward Andreas Wingerli played on Team Sweden with Stars forward Fredrik Karlström in the IIHF tournament. This is the first time Wingerli and Karlström have played against each other since playing in the SHL in their respective 2020-21 seasons.

Eagles defenseman Roland McKeown, was captain of the Charlotte Checkers for the 2019-2020 season, where he played with Texas Stars forward Anthony Louis for 8 games before Louis was traded to the Stars.

Colorado Eagles forward Ryan Wagner was previously on the Chicago Wolves for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. Current Stars captain Curtis McKenzie played on the Chicago Wolves for the 2018-19 season as the Alternate Captain.
