Colorado Avalanche Assign Dries To Eagles, Recalls Alt

WINDSOR, CO. – The Colorado Eagles, proud AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, have announced that forward Sheldon Dries has been reassigned to the Eagles by the team’s NHL affiliate, while defenseman Mark Alt has been recalled to the Avalanche. Dries has appeared in 15 NHL games this season with Colorado, posting two goals and two assists. Dries has also seen action in five AHL games with the Eagles, collecting one goal and one assist. Alt has registered four assists in 19 games with the Eagles this season, after seeing the ice in seven NHL games with Colorado during the 2017-18 campaign.

Dries, a 5-foot-9, 185-pound center notched 19 goals and 11 assists in 70 AHL games with the Texas Stars as a rookie during the 2017-18 season. He would go on to net another 10 goals in 20 playoff games during the Stars run to the Calder Cup Final, which led all AHL rookies in the postseason.

Alt has posted 17 goals and 65 assists in 279 AHL games with the Eagles, San Antonio Rampage, Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Adirondack Phantoms. In addition, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound blueliner has seen action in 16 NHL contests with Colorado and the Philadelphia Flyers. Alt was selected in the 2nd round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Eagles return to action on Friday, November 30th when they host the Iowa Wild at 7:05pm MT at the Budweiser Events Center.
