EAGLES KICK-OFF SERIES AGAINST SILVER KNIGHTS

Eagles Kick-Off Series Against Silver Knights

Mar 24, 2021

The Colorado Eagles will face off against the Henderson Silver Knights tonight for the third time this season. It is the first of three games in Henderson for the Eagles.

Colorado is riding a three game win streak after an overtime victory last week. Eagles forward T.J. Tynan netted the game-tying goal and the game-winner in overtime, as the Eagles rallied to defeat the Texas Stars, 4-3 last Wednesday. The victory allowed the Eagles to take six of a possible eight points in the standings on their four-game road trip to the Lone Star State. Goaltender Parker Gahagen earned the win in net, stopping 30 of the 33 shots he faced in his first start as an Eagle.

The Silver Knights are currently 13-2-0 this season and are coming off a 4-0 win over the San Jose Barracuda. A Pavel Dorofeyev power play goal 4:46 into the first period gave the Silver Knights the early first period advantage 1-0. The second frame was a defensive battle throughout until Jack Dugan rebounded a goal to push the lead, 2-0. Logan Thompson held off the San Jose attack throughout the third until Danny O’Regan and Tyrell Goulbourne notched two goals late in the period to secure the Henderson Silver Knight victory, 4-0.
