Eagles Look for Repeat Against Wild

Eagles Look for Repeat Against Wild

Jan 22, 2022

The Colorado Eagles will face off against the Iowa Wild in the second night of a back-to-back on home ice tonight.

Last night, the Eagles came out on top, tallying two goals while the Wild could only muster one.

Iowa scored first, leaving the Eagles trailing until Sampo Ranta cleaned up a rebound in front of the net with just nine seconds left in the first period. Jordan Gross would score a bomb from the blueline just over two minutes into the second period, giving Colorado the lead they would hold onto for the rest of the night.

Colorado goaltender Justus Annunen turned aside 31 of the 32 shots he faced, earning his sixth win in a row and extending the streak for his team as well.

Hockey Fights Cancer Night

The Colorado Eagles and UCHealth are teaming up to bring you Eagles Fight Cancer Night on Saturday, January 22nd! This special night is all about honoring cancer warriors, past and present, in our community. We're all here to fight alongside these brave cancer warriors and be there for them every step of the way! Here is what fans can expect this year for Eagles Fight Cancer.

The night will feature the team wearing lavender jerseys and the names of cancer warriors on their helmets. The Budweiser Events Center will be lit in lavender lights from Loveland-based Blazen Illuminations and fans will be encouraged to light up the rink during a timeout in the game, using the lavender “Light the Rink” cards from their cup holders with their phone's flashlight.

"I Fight For” cards will be hung up around the building and shown on AHLTV. In addition, fans can stop by the photo booth on the Bud Light Balcony and fill out an "I Fight For" card. Fans can also print a card HERE, take a photo and submit using the hashtag #EaglesHFC. Post your photos on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #EaglesHFC and see your photos on AHLTV and the in-arena video board via the TBK Bank Tagboard.
