Eagles Wrap-Up Season Series with the Reign

Eagles Wrap-Up Season Series with Reign

May 9, 2021

The Colorado Eagles will travel to El Segundo to finish their last road trip of the 2021 regular season. It is the final game of the six-game, regular-season series between Colorado and the Reign.

The Eagles are coming off a three-day break after the last game of their two-game set against the Bakersfield Condors Friday night was postponed due to covid-19 protocols. The last time the Eagles were on the ice Wednesday night, forward Sheldon Dries scored the game's first goal but the Condors responded with two unanswered goals. The Eagles were held to a season-low 20 shots in the contest, as Colorado has now dropped each of its last four games. Adam Werner was solid in net for the Eagles, making 25 saves on 27 shots in the loss.

The Reign will take on the Eagles for their fourth game against them in twelve days. After splitting their first two matchups earlier this season in El Segundo, the Reign swept the Eagles in their three-game series last week in Loveland. The Reign lead the season series at 4-1 going into Sunday’s contest.
