Eagles Wrap Up Series Against the Stars

Mar 17, 2021

The Colorado Eagles will face off against the Texas Stars tonight for the final game of a four-game series in Cedar Park. It is the fourth game in six days on the road for the Eagles.

Colorado rallied from behind last night to beat Texas 5-4 in overtime, improving to 2-1 on the current road trip. Forward Jean-Luc Foudy scored the game-tying goal with 11 seconds remaining in regulation, while fellow forward Martin Kaut buried the game-winning goal in overtime to help secure the Eagles 5-4 win over Texas on Tuesday. Foudy netted two goals in the contest, as T.J. Tynan added three assists and defenseman Ian Scheid chipped in with a pair of helpers in the win. Ten different Colorado skaters notched at least one point on the scoresheet, as goaltender Adam Werner made 29 saves on 33 shots to collect his second straight victory in net.

The Stars scored four first-period goals against the Eagles on Tuesday. Adam Mascherin and Anthony Louis each had multi-goal games while Tomas Sholl made 21 saves and surrendered his second loss of the year and is 4-1-1 in six starts.
