The American Hockey League and its board of governors made the very difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the 2019-20 regular season and Calder Cup playoffs. While it is extremely disappointing to see this incredible season come to its conclusion, the Colorado Eagles fully support this measure to protect the health of the team, its staff and its incredible fans.
On Saturday, July 25th, the NHL concluded Phase 3 (Formal Training Camps) with no positive test results for COVID-19 among the 4,256 tests administered. With Phase 3 complete, NHL teams announced their final rosters as they prepared to enter their respective hub cities.
Each team participating in the Stanley Cup Qualifiers is permitted 31 players, which the teams finalized Sunday afternoon. After a short Training Camp period with the Avalanche, eight Colorado Eagles players were named to the final postseason roster.
