SATURDAY'S GAME
The Colorado Eagles will take on the Henderson Silver Knights tonight for the second game of a three-game series. Henderson leads the all-time series 1-0 after picking up a 4-2 win over the Eagles last night in the first ever meeting between the two clubs. Colorado enters tonight’s game having only allowed one power play goal in the last three games, going 9- for-10 during that time. The Eagles are 27-for-33 on the PK, overall and have killed off 17 of their last 19 shorthanded situations in their previous six games.
Colorado currently leads the AHL in shots per game with an average of 34.8 shots per contest. The Eagles have put up at least 30 shots in each of their last five games. Defenseman Greg Pateryn leads the Eagles and all AHL defensemen with 43 shots through the first nine contests of the season, including a season-high eight shots last night.
